[pmmail-list] PMMail doesn't generate Message-Id

See "Internet Email Protocols, A Developers Guide" by Kevin Johnson,
ISBN 0-201-432886-9 for a suggested way to generate unique IDs.
It looks like:

<YYYYMMDDHHMMSS.PID.SEQ@mybox.example.com>

I doubt you'd get duplicates using that.
