Not exactly... it's a "feature" of GRADD. The corrupted icons were fixed in the
PMMerge/SoftDraw update, as you noted. Tom should install the eCS FixPak
(has Serenity released FixPak 2 yet? If not, FP1 will suffice).
Once the corrupted icons are gone, the "washed out" icons will appear. This is
the "enhanced stretch blits" code added to GRADD. It can make some stuff look
smoother (anti-aliasing!), but will cause this problem with PMMail and PMView. As
noted by someone else, you can disable the enhanced function using
"SET ENH_STRETCH=NO" in the Config.Sys. Of course, you have to reboot
before it does anything. ;)
