Since we are in wish-lists ... I have just (at CeBIT) acquired
Papyrus Office, a double licence both for OS/2 and Windows.
Papyrus Word works now fine as external editor for PMMail with
spell checking for German, and soon (I have ordered the addtitional
dictionaries) also US-English, British English, Spanish, French, and
Italian (well, I do not really speak the latter).
The really interesting part for PMMail with Papyrus is the database
engine, which, of course, also works both under OS/2 and under
Windows. I think this database engine could be used to change the
current memory based indexes of messages and addresses to a file
based system which would consume less resources and which would much
easier allow for threaded displays of messages, fast selection of all
messages from a given sender, and much more.
This database engine could also used, I imagine, to add a
calendaring application to both PMMail and Papyrus Office.
The database itself is an XML file. I plan to write a conversion
routine between the PMMail database and this one, when I will have
the time.
Papyrus originated, just as the well known terminal program ZOC,
on the Atari, was ported to OS/2 and then to Windows.

(upgraded to the lates release soon, I have been told).
