I've been reading this thread casually.... but then a new message from
Pobox.com popped up in the Inbox.  Guess what?  THEY're switching
over to SMTP-Auth over the next 3 weeks.

I have really resisted upgrading, given all the problems that were
reported early on with slow d/l times, etc.  Guess I'm going to have
to give it a shot.....   argh.    :(
