Peter Nielsen has made it clear on the PMView list that he is
rewriting the Windows version of PMMail only, and that he hopes (no
promises) to be able to port the new source back to OS/2 and also
Linux.  He has made it clear that the two current versions do not
share source, and both need rewriting completely, so this is the only
sensible way to do it.  His experience of making a single source for
Windows and OS/2 versions (Linux being worked on, too) of a program
(PMView) gives one hope that this is realistic.

IMO the best competitor for PMMail is not Emerald, but Polarbar.
