Although for many web-mail users, HTML email is equally problematic.
I have a friend who, while she was still on a free ISP, only had
webmail access. In both Hotmail and her ISP system, she was often
getting messages with small attached images, which, after virus 
checking, downloading, saving and viewing in the browser turned out
to be "stationery" images for the email.
