Without making any changes to IE's settings, go to the Editor menu in you
account properties, leave the first radio button set to use PMMail's internal
editor. In the editor box, enter the full path to IE (C:\Program Files\Internet
Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE on my machine). In the arguments field, it is important
to put the full path of your PMMail installation _in quotes_ with a %s at the
end, again "c:\program files\blueprint software works\pmmail 2000\%s" on my
machine.

If you want to skip the ALT-X to open the external editor, set the first option
to Use an external editor and choose 'Use for message reading' to have the
message opened in IE automatically.
