Hi,
This utility may be what you are looking for:-

Runfile 1.01 for Win9x (11 kb)

       Updated: Jan 21, 2000

Banish the ugly DOS console window!

This tiny but useful utility is driven totally by command line parameters.
It launches any type of file, shortcut (even shortcut to applet), URL and
dial-up connection.

It can also launch .BAT scripts and console-based programs and files
without the ugly console window popping up.
Fills a gap left by many other utilities.

Regards,
Robert Traynor (BobT).
