There are usually three types of mails:
a) Mails which contain only plain text, mostly from experienced users:
These mails have never been a problem for PMMail.
b) Mails which contain only HTML:
These mails are mostly spam or other crap and not worth reading
anyway.
c) Mails which contain plain text *and* HTML as "multipart/alternative",
mostly from ignorant (i.e. Outlook Express) users or from companies:
These mails are the biggest problem at the moment: PMMail tries to
display the HTML part although it can not handle HTML correctly, while
it would be very easy and sufficient to display the plain text part.
Question to BSW: Can you *please* put a switch into PMMail *now* which
lets the user choose if the plain text or the HTML part of the mail should
be displayed by default? This would be an easy solution to most of the HTML
related problems. Please don't let us wait for this until next year!
Bye, Gunnar
