With all due respect, Phil, there are a lot of us out here who are
among the original PMMail/2 [the OS/2 version] users and HTML is *not*
the default.  But rather it only creates a mess with the ultimate text
that arrives, plus [as mentioned] expanding the message size by an
order of magnitude.  

[I do not intend to restart the HTML debate.  I am just trying to
clarify why there are a lot of people on the list who do not want nor
appreciate HTML.]
