There is a big difference between sending a message and housekeeping. I am unaware of
PMMail ever failing to send a message. The messages are sent, then the folder indexed.
It does seem to occasionally have problems with all the bits of indexing (thus
Re-Index) and has actually managed to lose incoming mail (but that may have been a
transient problem with the os and networking).
