  That occurs quite frequently here, I'm afraid. The checking with 
blacklisters for spam is the time consuming work. But since I need the 
result to act upon, there is no way around it. 

  You, on the other hand, can quite well START a separate process for 
getting the update from the Norman antivirus, there is no compelling 
reason to make the email program wait for the completion of this 
transfer.
