FWIW, it works just fine here with PMMail/2 on OS/2 [actually eCS] and
the TrackPoint on my TPad and with a wheel mouse on a desktop.  And
works in two dimensions on other applications that have horizontal
scroll bars.  [e.g., Netscape, Mozilla, WordPro etc.]
