I see nothing obviously wrong with it. Did you paste it directly from your filter
string, or type it in? The font in the filter editor box makes it difficult to see how
much whitespace there is in the target string.
The default matching method is a case-insensitive substring match. This may work
better (case-sensitive whole-word match):
!(header.from.-s-e = "Mike Kilroy")
Sometimes it is a different filter that is detecting a message. Initially set up
different target folders for each filter so you can see which filter is doing what to
whom.
