[pmmail-list] Filter statistics

Purely out of curiosity, I'd like to start gathering some stats on my
incoming mail - specifically how many items are received each day, and
what percentage of them are spam.

It occurred to me that this should be possible using  a couple of
filters, and I was wondering if anyone has written a hook that would
update a counter (presumably in an external file) when hit, or if
anyone has done anything more fancy that they would care to throw out
here to be plagiarised. :)
