Pmmail has gotten too slow to use!

I have about 135 meg of messages in 13500 separate files with a LOT of
folders, running on a P-166.  I have over 250-300 filters set up.  I
don't see a slowdown here.  What is your system configuration (os, how
is the partition formatted, cpu speed, memory, network, other programs,
etc).
