PMMail 2000 Default Mailer?

I have encountered this problem, but in my case it was generated by the
method I used to 'install' PMMail.

Once, after FORMAT C: and Win98 (re)install, I had not the desire to
install PMMail as usual. Instead I simply copied the PMMEDIT.DLL and
PMMLDAP.DLL to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory (I keep PMMail onto
different than C: drive). Everything appeared to work well, except the
'default mailer problem'.
Finding too complicated a registry search for a solution, I decided to
(re)install PMMail the 'official' way. The default installation process
have done its job right ... no 'default mailer problem' anymore ...
