At this point, I'd have to agree with you. I keep waiting for someone
to report differently but I haven't seen anything but minor and
generally insignificant cosmetic changes to PMMail/2. Of all the bugs
in PMMail/2 which have been discussed here in the past, the only two
which are reported to have been fixed are the black boxes printing at
the end of lines and the searching through subfolders. None of the
others, including the POP hang-ups or the spellcheck crashes seem to
have been addressed. The only requested feature I've seen included is
the RMB pop-up window in the Edit window, although several people have
reported problems using it. A feature that an number of people
expressed an interest in, i.e. being able to strip attachments from
messages, is supposedly implemented in the filters (Save All
Attachments to Directory), but it doesn't do anything at all. Also,
although the Southsoft contact info in the help files has been replaced
with the BSW info, there is still a lot of old, out of date info in
there such as instructions for joining the old, shut down mailing list.

I am particularly disappointed since there were indications over the
past several months from Bob & Ike and PMMail Support that there were a
number of fixes and improvements being added to the update which I
don't see.

Fortunately, our pledges were refused by BSW before the release. Had
they not been, I would have considered keeping my pledge and continued
to use version 2 until a real "updated" version was released. About
the only thing which stops me from being totally disgusted, is that I
am very hopeful that under the new ownership of Thomas Bradford and
company we may actually see some real improvements in PMMail/2 in the
not so distant future. I've used some other OS/2 shareware products
that were purchased by BMT Micro (also owned by Thomas Bradford) and
they were definitely improved in the process.
