Ken, I am in complete agreement that Paul *has* tried to moderate. 
However, so, then, has Steve.  Both did basically the same thing.  Paul
tried to moderate, and Steve tried as well.

However, Paul was merely asking people to go away - Steve was much more
forceful about it.  "Don't even think about it" has much more ominous
overtones, IMO.
