My experience with PGP for OS/2 is that none of the GUI for v2.6.x will
work with v 5.x As you state the command line structure is completely
different between the two versions.

As more of the people I correspond with upgraded to PGP v 5.x and 6.x , I
had a need to go to PGP v 5 whether there was a GUI available or not.
My solution at the time was to switch emailers from MR2 Ice to PMMail as
PMMail handled about 80% of my PGP needs and worked with PGP 5.0. (MR2
worked with v 2.6.x but I could not get it to work with v 5.0 even using
the esecure scripts from W. Gieger.) For the PGP actions that PMMail
could not help with there was always the command line, but I found it
much faster and easier to boot into NT and use the PGPKeys utility that
comes with the windows versions of PGP.

Recently that has been available a GUI for PGP in OS/2 using v 5.0. Try
PGP Keys for OS/2 (my copy says v 0.91), the home page is
http://Bohn-Stralsund.de Your needs for PGP may be different but this
utility along with PMMail handles all my PGP requirements except for ONE.

PMMail/2 can not encrypt attachments with PGP or handle incoming
attachments that have been encrypted. PMMail for windows does handle
these. At the time I acquired PMMail I was informed by Southsoft that
this would be addressed in the next version of PMMail/2. We are well
past that point now and I am still waiting for this fix.
