That may well be a significant effect but I was more concerned by the 
heat generation caused by html e-mail. 

As you know many on this list become incandescent with rage on 
receiving an e-mail in this format. Of course sending html e-mail to 
members of this list is a particularly efficient method of heat generation 
but if worldwide only 0.1 per cent of the population generated one 
kilowatt hour on receipt of such a communication a relatively small 
amount of worldwide html spam should be sufficient to cause the 
Maldives to disappear beneath the waves.
