May I suggest that the RFC you posted 
a) does not describe enough to specify how PMMail should "do" the HTML when it arrives and
b) does NOT refer to HTML email specifically but to sending multi-part packages by email so that the total 
communication retains integrity from end to end - not quite the same thing, since the "HTML email" concept ASSUMES 
that our email client is the end of the communication chain, whereas others have already pointed out that the "end" 
might include a PDF, XLS, WP or other program, depending on the nature of the multi-part contents being sent. 

Thus there is no spec for "HTML-mail" since we don't even have a definition of what constitutes "HTML-mail" - we've 
seen how many attempted definitons here?
