I expect to be an ex-customer shortly....

Take a look at Evolution (http://www.ximian.com/). I just installed it
on my Linux box and it's pretty nice. I do find some of the menus
lacking in things I've come to expect from PMMail, and there's a few
operational things that are missing (like only quoting selected text),
but since it's open source, I could always hack those in myself.

I'm about to upgrade Linux on my office server, and as soon as it can
run Evolution (it needs a newer Gnome than I currently have), I figure
I'll retire PMMail. BSW would do well to check out Evolution as an
example of bleeding-edge capability.
