[pmmail-list] How to prevent some accounts from looking for a POP3 server

  There is a simple workaround: 

  Configure the RECEIVE option for this account as SMTP and give
PMMail an empty folder to look at, e.g. C:\EMPTY 

  So the next time you hit ALT-F2 to fetch mail for all accounts,
PMMail will only look into that empty directory, and find nothing. No
error, hardly any time wasted. 

   Better don't use the TEMP directory, since you cannot be sure if
there is not some file in there which PMMail could take for an
incoming message. It is better to really use a folder (directory)
which is always empty.
