I was suggesting they use the Windows source code (which as far as I remember
is not lacking any features provided by the OS/2 PMMail), and use the WINE
libraries (not running under WINE, but rather using the WINE libraries like
Corel has done to produce WordPerfect for Linux).

It might get you something close to what you want in a very short period of
time.
