You will find a lot of people nervous about upgrading to PGP 7.1 since that
will be the first version where the source code is not available  AND  Phil
Zimmermann is not involved.

A lot of people suspect that the NSA or other goverment agencies have put
pressure to add backdoors into PGP 7.1

Perhaps it might be wise to consider looking at GnuPG as an alternative.
