Hi,

not really a good idea to send them this way.

Try this, it works fine on my system.

Account - Properties - Hooks
check Message receive hook, enter "C:\Programme\Norton AntiVirus\NAVW3=
2.exe /NORESULTS" in Program location - you may have to change the progr=
am folder to your needs eg. Programme with Program Files or so.
Same for the message send hook.

email protection in NAV 2002 is switched off, but auto-protect is enable=
d. Additional my personal firewall Zone Alarm Pro is looking for suspic=
ious attachments and quarantines them. Never trust one program alone.

Well let's hope that the programmers from pmmail contact those from syma=
ntec, those seem to be a little bit blind, know only microgoofy programs=
and don't test there nav with others. I think if the responsible guys =
talk to each other they will find out
what's going wrong, quickly.

Hooks

Each Account has four built in user program hooks that can be triggered =
by the networking actions of sending and receiving messages. The user c=
an specify a user program to run upon sending a message (or upon the rec=
eiving of a message),
either before or after the networking actions are performed. Once enabl=
ed (by clicking the checkbox next to the program hooks title), these scr=
ipts are run every time the action is performed.

These scripts all are run at specific, but very different, times during =
the fetching and sending cycle. A Message Send Hook is called before PM=
Mail sends the message to your mail server. This way, you can use this =
exit to reformat the actual
message file to include or remove any other information you may want. T=
he Message Receive Hook is called just after each message is retrieved f=
rom your mail server. The hook is called once for each e-mail that you =
receive in that fetch cycle.

The custom exits are also called at very specific times. The Custom Sen=
d exit is called once for each outgoing e-mail in your outbox during the=
sending process. If you have this exit enabled, then this program is c=
alled in place of PMMail's SMTP or
POP sending routines. This custom send program will then need to perfor=
m the actual sending functions. The Custom Receive exit is called right=
before the network connection is established with your mail server to r=
eceive your e-mail. No matter
how much e-mail you receive during that fetch cycle, this hook is only c=
alled once before connection with the mail server.

The programs are each passed one argument, that is the fully qualified p=
ath and filename of the e-mail message that PMMail is currently processi=
ng. You must be careful to make sure that your programs do not violate =
any of the RFC rules for the
layout of an e-mail (refer to RFC 822, 936, 1521, and 1522 for more deta=
ils). If they do violate these RFC=BAs, there is no guarantee that eith=
er you or the receiver will be able to display the message(s) properly.
