No where did I say we have the rights to indefinite updates.

But as a customer, we do have the rights to be INFORMED of what the current
situation is/future will be.

>The employment by BSW of a developer well known for his own program
(PMView) that maintains parity on OS/2 and Windows is an indication
that they take the continuation of both versions of PMMail seriously.
The fact that he found that the versions of PMMail have separate
(and poorly written) sources means that the most effective way
forward is by a rewrite, which he is now engaged on; we must (and I
do) trust his judgement on this.

I trust Peter. He has his track records to prove it. He's frank with any
difficulties encountered in his PMView. No "I'll keep you updated" and then
turn around ignoring his customers.

BSW do NOT. Read Thomas Bradford's announcement in late 2000. Go take a look at
BSW and PMMail2000's website.

>It will take time; shouting and ranting will not make it faster. But
it might if kept up long enough make BSW sufficiently fed up to drop
the effort they are currently engaged on, and thus kill the program
for ever.

Shouting and ranting with NO VALID reason, yes.

Shouting and ranting with VALID reasons, it depends on the integrity of the
company, I suppose.

>But I do wish they would update their web site with this sort of info
occasionally and acknowledge that news, even of delays, is better
than silence.

You can wish, or you can make your wish known. I did. Repeatedly. And
repeatedly. Guess what? Nothing.
