Not quite right. SMTP AUTH is the protocol for authentification, but not
the method. There are different ones: LOGIN (MS compatibility), PLAIN
(unencrypted), CRAM-MD5, KERBEROS, and more.

I figured that PMMail/2 only knows about LOGIN and CRAM-MD5 and tries the
latter first.
