Not true. Because a properly formatted HTML message includes both the
plain-text *and* HTML formatted version, the message size is instantly
doubled, even before taking into account the extra characters used for
the HTML elements, or the excessive increase in bandwidth required by
images.

HTML e-mail is a horrible kludge, but it isn't going away, and PMMail
should at least have a sane way of handling it. It would be best if it
*didn't* use the MS HTML tools, as that would open it up to all of the
same worms, trojans, and other undesirables that plague Outlook.
Finally, *as recommended by the RFCs* it should give the user the
option to select which version of a message he wants to view. In my
case, it will always be plain text.
