[pmmail-list] 3rd attempt: How to set the subject of a canned reply? <==== Change yours, not mine!

To each his own! Your opinion and mine! I am not going to debate this
with you.

My argument [THE POINT] is quite simple:
You can put anything in the subject of the message that YOU
SEND.
Just do NOT change the Subject in what I sent you.
	See below for an example.

Example:
I have ADDED a comment to the subject line in what I send back
to the MailList.
I have NOT CHANGED what YOUR message had for the subject.

Again, different people; different opinions. FACTs can be debated.
Everyone's OPINION is their own and is NEVER WRONG... just possibly
*different* from others.

What's the point, it's about a mailinglist, you can subscribe to by
sending a message with a *certain* subject (e.g. 'ABC') and a *certain*

body ('SUBSCRIBE') to PMMail, PMMail recognizes this, puts your eMail
address into the mailing list address group and returns a welcome
message to the address you subscibed from using a canned reply.

So, the 'author' of this particular message is not really free to
compose an impressive message anyway ;-) And for reference puposes I
think a 'Welcome to the ABC mailing list' message is certainly better
than 'Re:ABC' (at least I would rather not delete the first one, but
probabaly the second when cleaning up my mailboxes). BTW, the original
header is explicitely quoted in the canned reply (this can be made
quite
easily)

So again: Where's the point?

Best

Andreas
