Perhaps I should clarify:

The user wants to create/tweak the basic-apps in win2k, but run
them on dos5. 

I'm not sure whether dos5 supports vbs?

Virtual machines such as vmware is out of the question. It's way to
complicated for the user in question, and also costs to much as
compared to the output. 8-]
