All my pmmail spam crashes (when I was using attglobal
dialup) occurred with an active Norton 2003.

I'm still using the same Norton 2003, but have had ZERO
problems with my new (for 8 months now) earthlink cable.

As I said, it may be the spam filters at attglobal weren't
blocking the problem, but the spam filters at earthlink do
... 

In any case, it didn't seem to matter that Norton AV was
active.  PMMail would crash when it encountered the
problematic spam on download.

I hope you are right that the PMMail problem will be fixed.
