In the UK it is PPPoA that is used. But I will check the MTU.

It is a new system unit with the OS installed from scratch. PMMail
was then installed and the old messages/stuff from \Tools copied over
the top. Eveeything works fine except for sending. No problem
whatsoever on receiving email. No problems web surfing either.

As mentioned in the other message, creating new accounts and
transferring the messages to these using the same settings in
"Properties" allows the sending of newly created messages. Old unsent
messages still cause the problem ! Indeed, using a freshly typed in
message with a freshly typed in address even exhibited the problem.
But I was still able to send a message to my own address. Weird. I
think I'll probably rip it out and install from scratch again - is
there any way of just importing messages from the old drive ?
