For os/2 specifically there is MR2ICE (search BMT Micro) and Rexxmail (search on
hobbes). Rexxmail may work on other platforms with Regina, a REXX interpreter.
  Java: Polarbar (www.polarbar.org).
Other: Thunderbird (www.mozilla.org) but it is in a fairly early stage of
development. Quite useful despite that, though.
  Eudora.
Outlook Express ("the hacker's highway to your hard drive"), like Internet Explorer,
is a security nightmare. Use with extreme caution and constant attention to security
updates. Very pretty, though, and has some nice features.
There are, of course, a large number of other mail clients. A look for "Mail User
Agent" on a search engine should reap a lot of options.
