You're being argumentative.  For 25 years, every Unix system stored 
e-mail as one file per user, with messages separated by "From xxx@yyy" 
lines.  That's what POP and IMAP servers expect.  That format IS called 
a Unix mailbox, and it is silly of you to argue otherwise.
