Bonjour Steve,

Yes, I prefectly know this. I even just used one to reply to your mail.
(;-) I have #30 canned replies in each of my accounts. Not very easy to
manage in a contextual menu even at a 1600x1200 resolution, though.

[ I reported a bug here years ago : the $cursor$ variable does not
place the cursor at a "relative" position as it should do. PMMail
starts counting at the beginning of the message instead of doing
it at the position the canned reply has been inserted.
  Very annoying. ]

I would have liked to be able Drag'n'drop a template message that would
contain all the things I predefined, changing the variables to their values
and - eventually - ask for some custom fields in it to change by
hand. I would just have to press the "send" button at the end. I guess
this is pretty much like what ThunderBird offers, without the variables.

Now I think of this, I could make Describe write an ASCII MSG file in the
"Draft" folder of my main account.

I doubt there will be that many programmers to work on it as soon as it's
released. Understanding the code, optimizing it and still keeping it
cross-platform (I'd really like to keep on using it on OS/2-eCS) is a
pretty tough work. Peter Nielsen should know how difficult it is. I would
be pessimistic, but...

Anyway, even if the files are still not available, there's a forum and/or
bugtracker opened on SourceForge.net ("currently down for maintenance").
Everyone can contribute.

Have a nice day.
