I didn't... just amputated and started fresh.  I know that any/everthing 
before a certain date in Aug 2006 is in PMMail, everything else is in 
Thunderbird.

Which is a nice position to have, but I can't tell everyone else in the 
world to stick with plain text... most if not all of my suppliers are 
sending me rich-text eMails, and there's no convincing marketing types 
that you won't accept anything less.  They just don't care.

Hard to argue when I'm sitting on an 8-megabit connection with no cap.

No worries... sorry it didn't make a difference.

Have you tried re-installing the app itself, over top of itself?  If 
it's not the BAG files, it might be a corrupted EXE or something.
