Bad news first...
As some may have noticed recently rpglink.com has gone kaput. This is
because NSI thinks "expired" means something than what it does in every other
subscription based service. "Expired" to them means, "Oh, we won't shut you
down, we'll just let you wrack up 2 months of 'service', then cut you off and
hold your domain hostage until you cough up a year's worth of dough before you
can move it over to a new registrar."
I have been waiting for them to remove rpglink.com from their databases
for 2 months now and they finally placed it on hold. I have a transfer in
with register.com but I doubt it will go through. *grumble* As a result, no
name lookups on rpglink.com, no mx records, no mail gets through.
Good news...
It is not the only domain I own. rpglink.com was purcased with commercial
intentions in mind. As a result I registered a domain for my private
endeavors, dmiyu.org. /ALL/ addresses which were valid under rpglink.com are
/also/ valid under dmiyu.org. This includes all active mailing lists (pmmail,
solrpg) as well as private mail accounts I have given people on the
rpglink.com domain. So anyplace one would have rpglink.com switch it to
dmiyu.org and mail /WILL/ get through.
I'll keep everyone informed about this situation as I get it resolved.
And yes, if anyone is wondering, this is exactly the type of crap that
prompted me to tell NSI to squat on it with no lube. :/
