    Speaking of which, if anyone ever looks at screen shots of any of my
desktops and wonders why I insist upon white on black and not black on white
which seems to be the idiotic standard out of mainstream computer
manufacturers for purely marketing reasonings, here's why.

Marketing reasoning: Paper is while, ink is black, therefore if we make it the
same on the screen people will be more at home.

Technical reasoning: Paper reflects, a monitor emits.  Do you /really/ want
this huge block of bright light blinding your customer?
