Try that on a kernel hacking unix list and you'll need more than
asbestos undies!

Lots here seem to know at least a bit. For enhanced clues try "Internet
Email Protocols" Kevin Johnson pub Addison Wesley ISBN 0-201-43288-9
(or later) and do what the author suggests about keeping your RFCs
updated.
People who do try to stay updated should by now have copies of RFC 2821
and 2822 that replace RFC 821 and 822.
