For a while I was dealing with this on a regular basis -- I think it
was related to my JFS drive...
You need to edit the folder.ini in the affected mail directory -- I thin=
k that
you need a hex-editor... (no, -- see below)
inbox folder.ini:
Inbox=CC1=CC1=CC3;2;4;0;1;5;6;7;8;9=CC1=CC1=CC0=CC0=CC
Radbio folder.ini:
Radbio=CC32701=CC1=CC2;4;6;3;8;5;7;9;0;1=CC1=CC1=CC0=CC0=CC
Phex folder.ini
Phex=CC32714=CC1=CC3;2;6;4;8;5;7;9;0;1=CC1=CC1=CC0=CC0=CC
Trash folder.ini
Trash=CC1000=CC1=CC3;0;1;2;4;5;6;7;8;9=CC1=CC1=CC1=CC1=CC
The folder.ini seems to have a general structure of "folder name"|unique=
_ID#|
a list indicating sort order|etc settings...
All you need to do is look at the first two items: name and ID# (actuall=
y the
ID # appears to be the important item). The default folders (inbox, tra=
sh, etc)
all have specific #'s assigned: inbox=3D1, trash=3D1000, outbox=3D2, et=
c.
For the other folders it seems that one can assign just any old number -=
- as long
as it is unique.
Ok, I just closed pmmail, editted a folder.ini with a text editor, Med, =
and all is
well... Just don't try using e.exe because it adds an extra character t=
o the file.
Make a backup of the .ini file, edit the number, and give it a try...
It won't hurt anything if it doesn't work -- just copy your backup copy =
of the
folder.ini to the directory.
Good luck,
Cary
