[pmmail-list] crashed and confused mail folders

they were downloaded but system locked at the end of the download
process.  the bottom bar said 27 new messages, but just as that screen
appeared, everything locked.  the subsequent reboot did not reflect any
of the new numbers in the totals.

There were deleted from the ISP server when downloaded, so if not on my
machine they're gone.
