Hear here!  This expresses my sentiments much better than my last post
did.  Hmmm.... where is the 'Recall this Message' option... ah yes,
that's Outlook.

If Netscape had ruled the world, e-mail would have been received in the
*browser*.  Let's all thank heavens that someone at MS had the brains
to develop a second (free) application in Outlook Express.

However, this defaults to HTML.  Why?  Because, most users think e-mail
should have some of the same features as their word processor,
including fonts and colours they can play with.  Are they wrong?  No. 
Do they have no sense of history?  Of course not - they don't realize
there is a history of the internet.

These are the people that drive me crazy, that commercialized the web. 
The ones who wanted to "get Internet" on their computer, like it was a
product, the same way they would "get Tide" at the grocery store when
they were out of laundry detergent.

The reality is that there are HORDES of these users.  And they don't
know any better.  And, by the way, you aren't going to educate them
because they don't CARE, they just want to freaking bold something.

So, we have to live with HTML.  Let's make it more liveable for us
Luddites, shall we?
