Well, I am using two folders with 10,000 and 15,000 messages in
(collecting data for a Bayesian spam filter), and this has given me
no problems - perhaps that's because this machine has 512MB of
memory.  I must admit that just a couple of times I have thought it
was thrashing unexpectedly.
