One thing you didn't see from me is a "Windows good" statement!
In fact you may note that, aside from a reference to the fact that Warp
4 runs well on a box that will barely run Linux with X, I avoided
comparing X with any other GUI.

As to having lots of standards and letting the "best" (best marketed?)
win, that's been the curse of all of the *xes for as long as there have
been implementations from outside Bell Labs. The winner of that event
is M$.
