  Mainly a function of the underlying OS and available disk space.
  Because of the way PMMail handles messages there may be a noticeable delay when 
starting the mailer, but it takes a lot of messages for that to happen. (I have 
thousands and startup is only about 2 - 4 seconds, over a network.)
