LDAP client doesn't work ?

I'm using PMMAIL/2, 2.10. Has anybody seen the LDAP client is working ?
I'm trying to contact my companies LDAP server, which works fine with Netscape 
or Outlook Express etc, but with PMmail there's simply nothing displayed as 
result to a query. Not even an error message.
Unfortunately I cannot check with other servers, because IP requests to port 
389 are not routed through our gateway to the Internet.
