It's good that "you think" HTML 2.0 would do - now submit an RFC and
convince all  email vendors to agree and hey, no problem!  

Providing you know HTML 2.0, there's nothing to prevent you 
composing a message in HTML and sending it to who ever you want to.
Bear in mind that MS Outlook defaults to sending HTML 4 messages though!

It's exactly this "me", "my needs", and "I" attitude that people need 
to get over - the interent is about "we", and "us" (*all* of us)!
