 it depends on their agreement with Stardock and I pretty much assume
that Stardock has some sort of an "exclusive" right on using the
sources or products derived from them. It's also conceivable that with
Stardock abandoning the product, the rights have [automatically] fallen
back to Southsoft. You just need to know what's written in the
papers...

 Brad sort of refused to make OD open-sourced since only a few cracks
in the world would be able to cope with the code (my understanding of
his words) and others may possibly do more harm rather than improve it.
Since OD is their baby and any odd result / propaganda might always
fall back on Stardock, you'd have to accept this. This is not the case
with PMINews and there may be indeed a different situation (as may be
with other Stardock stuff).

 Hence I think it's definitely worth asking Brad. However, arguing that
PMMail and PMINews would make a perfect bundle with eCS is bound to be
counterproductive, imvho.
